You are welcome to pick any session that you think will help your practice regardless of your job type.  

We do ask if you are to attend the Social Worker/Sentencing Advocates track small groups that you stick with those throughout the conference.

Marcus Bressler

Markus worked for the German State Police of Baden-Württemberg for 12 years before deciding to stay in the United States. He is a graduate of the Indiana Law Enforcement Academy and holds a Lateral Police Transfer Certification of the City of Montgomery, Alabama. He graduated from the State of Alaska’s probation & parole and correctional academies. In 2016, Markus started to work as an investigator for the Alaska Public Defender Agency. He was certified as a criminal defense investigator in 2018. Markus holds a master’s degree in criminal justice administration and is currently a doctoral candidate for public administration with a criminal justice specialization. He focuses on policies and strategies related to forensic interviews of adults with behavioral health disorders, first and foremost on forensic interviewing of adults diagnosed with a DSM-5 ASPD disorder. He has been a certified member of the Reid Technique Institute since 2012 and obtained forensic interviewer designations in 2013 and 2016.
